How to flash CWM/PHILZ/TWRP temporarily/permanently on Redmi 2, if You can't flash any rom from Fastboot. This is Solution

How to flash CWM/PHILZ/TWRP temporarily/permanently onRedmi 2DSC00438.

If you are facing some problem you can't flash rom from Fastboot mode & you can create a thread about it. there are many replies to thisthread so i can't check each and every reply.
Redmi 2 LTE comes as HM2014811,HM2014818,HM2014817 all are same only HM2014813 is different.Use HM2014813 Recoveries if your Device ID is HM2014813 or
l else you Have ti use HM2014811 recoveries.

Understand the terms

CWM / TWRP - a Recovery Software this passes extra security layers (in stock recovery) while flashing or update something like ROM or zip and Img files. WE Will show install Cwm with a recovery.Img file.

SUPERSU - this will manage root permission to apps.

Note 1 - Enable USB debugging mode. Only go to additional Settings — > Enable Developer Mode and enable USB Debugging. Flashing the custom ROM is mandatory.

Note 2 - I used these similar terms 'recovery.img.' / cwm.img / twrp.img -- all are same, recovery.img is the name to demonstrate you. understand this word and follow guide replacing it with 'cwm.img / twrp.img' according to what recovery you need to use.

Step 1. Install MiFlash from http://xiaomitips.com/download/miui-rom-flashing-tool/

Step 2. Go to C:/Program Files(x86)/Xiaomi/MiPhone/Google/Android/ you will find fileslike adb.exe,fastboot.exe,AdbWinApi.dll, etc.

Step 3. Now switch off your Redmi 2.

Step 4. Press and hold Power+Volume Down till you get fastboot mode.

Step 5. Now connect your Redmi 2 to your PC ( Use Data cable)

Step 6. Hold down Shift and press the Right Mouse Button.

Step 7. Left Click Open Command Window Here .

You will get Something like this

Step 8. now type fastboot devices And Entre the result should be this 4579536 fastboot

Step 9. Download cwm/twrp/philz recovery for your device(these are not flashable zips)

SU zip flash from updater

extract the zip files and get the .img file

Step 10. Copy the desired recovery to C:/Program Files(x86)/Xiaomi/MiPhone/Google/Android/TO FLASH TEMPORARILY

( you can also copy this file in Fastboot file folder)

Step 11. Now type the following in cmdfastboot boot HM11_twrp_recovery.img**this will be different for different devices (HM2014813/HM2014811) and recoveries(twrp/cwm/philz).

12. You should get something like this

downloading 'boot.img'...OKAY

[ 0.398s]booting...OKAY
[ 0.002s]finished.

total time: 0.400s

Step13. Done! you will boot into the recovery type Fastboot reboot

Step 14. And after flashing and everything when youboot to system and do a reboot the recovery will be gone i.e you will be reverted back to the previous recovery you had.TO FLASH PERMANENTLY (but you can always wipe the recovery or you can flash another recovery by the same method)

Step 15. If you want to flash the recovery over the previous one then in step 11 instead of that code type this

fastboot flash recovery HM11_twrp_recovery.img

this will be different for different devices (HM2014813/HM2014811) and recoveries(twrp/cwm/philz).

Step 16. and you will get something like this
recovery' (16922 KB) . . .OKAY
[ 0.338s]writing 'recovery' . . .OKAY
[ 0.494s]finished. total time: 0.833s17. Done!
you have successfully permanently flashed the recovery(its not completely permanent you can flash/ wipe recovery again)
